THE RADICAL JOURNEY
What's up, dudes and dudettes! I'm Rick Niel, and I'm all about living the most excellent lifestyle. My heart is in the golden era of neon colors, radical music, and the birth of extreme sports.
The Early Days
I got my first skateboard when I was 6, and it was like the world opened up! By the time I was 15, I was shredding half-pipes and catching air like nobody's business. When winter came around, I traded the concrete for snow and became one of the early adopters of snowboarding when it was still considered a rebel sport.
The Style
My style has always been pure 80s excellence. I rock the classic Levi's jeans, puffy tongue white sneakers, and my collection of colorful 80s vests is second to none! And let's not forget the mullet - business in the front, party in the back, baby! My Pit Vipers collection has grown over the years, and I've got a pair for every occasion.
The Soundtrack
Music is the fuel that keeps me going! My trusty Walkman has been with me through thick and thin, blasting the most excellent tunes while I'm catching waves or shredding powder. John Farnham's "Break the Ice" is my ultimate anthem - it's got the perfect blend of energy and emotion that captures the spirit of the 80s.
The Fuel
When I need to refuel after an intense session, nothing beats the combination of pizza and Mountain Dew! The cheesier the pizza, the better, and I've been known to crush an entire large pie after a day on the slopes. As for the Dew, it's the nectar of the gods - that neon green elixir keeps the radical vibes flowing!
The Mission
Through this blog, I'm on a mission to keep the spirit of the 80s alive! I want to share my bodacious insights on everything from the best pizza joints to the most stylish Pit Vipers, and help a new generation discover the radical joy of living life to the MAX! Whether you're an 80s kid yourself or just curious about the most excellent decade ever, I'm here to be your guide to all things radical!
So grab your Walkman, put on your neon shades, and join me on this totally tubular journey! Stay radical, dudes and dudettes!
